Obeliu distillery is located in North-Eastern Lithuania and its history is directly connected with the legacy of the Obeliai manor.  Many noble families lived in this magnificent manor, called a masterpiece of classicism architecture: Tyszkiewicz, Pietkiewicz, Tiesenhausen and Przeździecki families. The beginning of spirit distillery, which today is the only one operating in Lithuania is connected namely with the latter – Przeździecki family.

The distillery was founded in Obeliai manor in the beginning of 20 century by the count Jan Przeździecki , who brought and installed one of the most modern mill turbines of that time. This enabled to start production in large quantities and ensured the supply of ethyl alcohol to different producers in all major cities of the country.

Nevertheless today’s distillery has greatly changed, we keep a very close relationship with Przeździecki family.
